Since 2017, the Chehalis Basin Board and Office of Chehalis Basin have funded, approved and overseen more than 140 on-the-ground projects supporting the Chehalis Basin Strategy. We are finding creative solutions that protect communities and residents and reverse the loss of salmon and other aquatic species throughout the Basin.
This work entails:
- Helping residents and communities protect homes and businesses from flood damage
- Working with landowners to slow harmful erosion and restore habitats for salmon and other aquatic life
- Preparing the region for more frequent major and catastrophic flooding
